SACSA Basketball
In Week 3 of this term, our school participated in the SACSA Basketball Carnivals, an exciting event organized by the South Australian Christian Schools Sports Association (SACSA).
SACSA Sports provides a wonderful platform for students to engage in friendly competition, fostering teamwork, respect, and a love for physical activity. These carnivals not only allow students to showcase their basketball skills but also encourage them to build friendships and develop a strong sense of community with peers from other schools.
Our Year 3/4 boys team had an outstanding performance, finishing 8th out of 16 teams! They played with great determination and showcased their skills in several close matches. The effort and teamwork displayed by our young athletes were truly commendable. Meanwhile, our Year 5/6 boys and girls teams faced tough competition and may not have had the best scores, but they competed hard and fair, demonstrating excellent sportsmanship throughout. They represented our school with pride and had a fantastic time, making memories and learning valuable lessons along the way.
Participating in events like the SACSA Basketball Carnivals is essential for our students’ growth. Not only does it promote physical fitness, but it also teaches important life skills such as resilience, cooperation, and respect for others. We are incredibly proud of all our teams for their efforts and sportsmanship, and we look forward to more exciting sporting events in the future.
