Intermediate Regional Hockey Finals.

Intermediate Regional hockey finals were played on Wednesday 16th October at Plenty Park in Greensborough.

We finished runners up in a tight 2-1 loss.

Through the pool stages we had strong play to knock off last year’s state finalists.

Again the team was well led by Josh Cain and Liam MacMillan.

We had crucial individual goals from Cruz T.

Miles P and Max C played every minute and Benny F saved so many crucial short corners. Chlo W, Darcy K, and Harrison were quick on the wings.

Our Year 10 first timers in Will B, Elliott S, Tom G, Fenita F, Huw W, learned quickly in defensive short corners and improved throughout the day.

In the final, we scored first and then the opposition drag flicked their way to the lead.

For our first entry into hockey for over 5 years it was an excellent result and we look forward to getting two mixed teams up next year.

Well done to all players for training on our cricket pitches for the last 5 weeks.

Melbourne Victory FC’s newest recruit!

Congratulations to Jorgie (year 7) for being selected to join Melbourne Victory FC A-League. Jorgie has fulfilled a lifelong dream by being selected to join the Melbourne Victory youth team. Having set this goal since the age of nine, Jorgie has dedicated countless hours to training and hard work. Inspired by his father, who enrolled Jorgie into a soccer team at age 2-3, his natural talent began to flourish.  Looking ahead, Jorgie says he's most excited about the opportunity for intensive training schedules, becoming stronger, and traveling interstate with the team. His advice for aspiring young athletes is "to train, work hard, and never let anybody put you down".

Well done Jorgie, incredible achievement and recognition for all your hard work!
