DIRECTOR OF LEARNING AND TEACHING

Students and parents will receive End of Semester 2 reports on 12 December. These reports provide an insight into the work completed during the semester and an insight into what they have achieved during the semester.
The end of the semester reports comprise three areas. For students in Years 7 to 10, the reports will have a progression point indicated on the top of the page. This progression point allows students and families to understand how the student’s achievements place them in line with the achievement standards of the Victorian Curriculum. The progression point will also indicate how much growth has occurred in that curriculum area since it was last reported on. There are also four capabilities that are assessed at different stages between Years 7 to 10, and these may appear on various subjects. Reports for VCE or VCE VM students do not include this section.
All students will then receive feedback on their effort, class behaviour, punctuality, organisation for class, productive collaboration with peers, high expectations of achievement, and their homework. These are teacher judgements formed over the course of the semester that provide an insight into how students are preparing themselves for success in the classroom.
The final section will display assessment tasks completed during the semester and a unit result. There should be no surprises in this section as this information is already provided for students and families via Learning Areas and the Parent Access Module. This is also how you will be able to download your students report and discuss their results with them.
