Careers and Pathways

Welcome to 2025! What a start to the year it’s been as we look to the year ahead but also reflect on the incredible results of the class of 2024. A huge congratulations to all our 2024 graduates, their hard work and perseverance has absolutely paid off as we celebrate some of our best results and destinations yet.
We saw 3 members of our cohort achieve ATAR’s in the 90’s. This is a monumental achievement as an ATAR is a ranking of a student's performance relative to the other 66,000 students in the state. An ATAR in the 90’s reflects these students' incredible effort and work ethic as it identifies them as in the top 10% of academic performers in the state.
A huge congratulations to:
Chhavi JOSHI
ATAR: 90.25
Destination: Bachelor of Biomedical Science at Monash University
Arsheen DUA
ATAR: 90.8
Destination: Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics at La Trobe University
And our 2024 DUX...
Heifa ZEKI

As a whole, these are the achievements of our 2024 cohort.
Of the 102 students who applied for courses through VTAC:
99 students received at least 1 offer
3 students received offers from direct applications to other institutions
There were a total of 128 VTAC offers made over 6 offer rounds:
85.16% of all offers were for course preferences 1-4, with 45.31% of these offers specifically for student’s number one course preference.
The most popular tertiary destinations for our students were RMIT (46.09% of offers) and La Trobe University (26.56% of offers).
Of those students ready to start their careers, before the end of the 2024 academic year:
4 students had secured full time apprenticeship positions
2 students had secured a full time employment positions
1 student had started their own business
1 student had secured a job trial for a full time apprenticeship position
With many more students securing positions over the New Year break ready for a 2025 start.
There are also a number of students who have pursued other interests and taken other pathways including direct tertiary applications, overseas study, GAP years and ADF applications. We are endlessly proud of our 2024 cohort and the Careers & Pathways door remains open to each of them.
