DR LIANA TANDA MEMORIAL MEDAL

Mount Alvernia College is proud to introduce the Dr Liana Tanda Memorial Medal, awarded to a recent graduate who has excelled in Senior Studies and is pursuing Medicine.

This award honours Dr Liana Tanda—alumna, doctor, and advocate for women in medicine—whose life was shaped by her Franciscan education and lifelong friendships. Her legacy of dedication and advocacy continues to inspire future generations of compassionate Mount Alvernia doctors.

At a recent college assembly, our inaugural recipient, College Dux Madeleine Colclough, was presented with this honour. She now embarks on her journey in Medicine, beginning a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
