PARENT VOLUNTEERS

T1 2025

At Hackham East Primary School, we focus on creating a positive and welcoming environment for all students. Our High Behaviour Expectations of We are Respectful, We are Inclusive, and We are Learners are underpinned by our values of Good Manners, Friendliness, Courage, Compassion, Persistence/Resilience, and Tolerance.

Our teachers explicitly teach and model expected behaviours, providing specific positive feedback to acknowledge positive behaviours. Students are also acknowledged through our whole school House Points system where the House with the most points at the end of the year is awarded the Values Shield. Students also have the opportunity to be nominated for Ultimate Community Role Model certificates for constantly demonstrating our High Behaviour Expectations and School Values throughout all aspects of their schooling.

We have a matrix of behaviours that we teach throughout the year. This term, our goal is to "‘Listen and follow instructions.’ We teach these behaviours, watch how students are doing, and give feedback and house points for positive actions.

Students can suggest and vote on a fun activity to celebrate when we reach our behaviour goals. Last year, they chose a PJ Day and whole school chasey. We will let you know what they choose through social media.

Thank you for supporting these expectations at home. Together, we can make school a great place for learning and growing.
