Week 3 Term 1

Dear Parents and Carers,

As we enter the Year of Jubilee, we embrace a time of renewal, grace, and spiritual growth within the Catholic community. Rooted in Scripture and Tradition, the Jubilee is a sacred period of forgiveness, reconciliation, and a deeper encounter with God's mercy. It calls us to strengthen our faith, practice charity, and walk in unity with one another. May this Jubilee inspire us all to live with gratitude, seek justice, and foster a spirit of love within our families and our community.

Congratulations to all the students on their first full week back at school. The students had a great week despite some very hot days. It was wonderful to see all the children back at school with happy faces, eager to reconnect with their friends smiling, learning and having fun.

Thank You for Attending Our Parent-Teacher Meet & Greet!

We sincerely appreciate your time and presence at last week’s Parent-Teacher Meet & Greet. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn more about your child and family, and strengthen our vital home-school partnership. Our teachers truly value these conversations and your involvement in your child’s education. We look forward to working together to make this a fantastic year for all!

Join Us for Our First Parents & Friends Meeting – Tonight at 7pm!

We are excited to welcome back our wonderful Parents & Friends Committee and extend a warm invitation to new members to join us tonight at 7pm in the school staffroom.

With our much anticipated School Fete happening this year, we would love to have as many enthusiastic volunteers as possible! Whether you can contribute a little or a lot, every helping hand makes a difference.

The Parents & Friends Committee has always been a fantastic team at St. Fidelis filled with generous, talented, and friendly people who work together to create amazing events for our school community. Let’s make this year’s Fete the best one yet! No experience is needed - just your enthusiasm and willingness to get involved. We can’t wait to see you there!

School Bell Times – Important Reminder

We kindly remind all parents and caregivers that students must be in class by 8:50am. The school gates open at 8:30am and will be locked promptly at 8:50am.

If your child arrives late, you must accompany them to the front office to sign them in and collect a late pass. Please do not drop off and drive away, especially near the SLA, as the gates will be closed at 8:50 AM, and this poses a safety risk.

Encouraging punctuality helps children develop lifelong habits of responsibility and time management. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring a safe and structured start to the school day.

Family Calendar of Events on AUDIRI app

All family and school events will be placed in the EVENTS tab of the AUDIRI app for easy access. Please call or email Vira vpirrotta@sfmoreland.catholic.edu.au if you are having any problems accessing this feature.

Join Us for Our First Whole - School Assembly!

Our first whole-school assembly for the year will take place on Friday February 14th, at 8:50am. Led by the Staff Leadership Team & Year 6 students, this special assembly will include the presentation of badges to our newly appointed school leaders. We warmly invite all parents and carers to attend and celebrate this important occasion with us. We look forward to seeing you there!

Thank You for Parking Safely & Responsibly

We appreciate your care and attention to safe and responsible parking. By following parking guidelines, you help keep our spaces accessible and, most importantly, ensure the safety of our students, families, and staff.

Important Reminder: The area outside the school on Saunders Street near the playground is a DROP-OFF ZONE ONLY. Please do not park or leave your vehicle unattended in this zone to ensure a smooth and safe drop-off process for all. Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to keeping our school community safe!

Have a lovely week,

Manuela
