School Savings Bonus (FAQS)
Frequently Asked Questions
Thankyou to all families who have completed the confirmation of usage of the SSB funds. If you are still to complete this, please refer to our Compass post dated 31st January for further details.
Below are a few of the more commonly asked questions regarding your SSB to assist in your understanding.
Will I need to put the bonus code into the portal to allocate the SSB to activities?
Yes – For parents wishing to use to use your SSB funds on School Activities (including camps), you must first allocate part or all of your funds in the Parent Portal using the code you were emailed in November 2024.
I cannot find my email with my Bonus Code. What should I do?
The Department of Education have advised that they are in the process of emailing all families who have not accessed their code and will remind them of the code details. This email will be sent to the primary parent email address saved on our school system.
Do I need to tell the school when I want to use the SSB for camps or other activities?
Yes. Parents of Grade 3-6 students are required to complete an Insights question in Compass to allocate their funds to general eligible school activities or to hold it for camp.
For students in Grade Prep-2, we will commence using the SSB funds to pay for eligible school activities automatically.
How will I know what funds I have got left in my School Activities fund as we progress through the year?
Each event that we invite your child to will have the cost of the event in the description, even if your SSB funds have paid for it. Please track these amounts to calculate what you have remaining in your balance.
Does the SSB money expire?
No. All funds remaining unused will carry over to the following year. Note that any unused portion of your uniform allocation at 30th June 2025, will transfer back to the school for use on School Activities and will no longer be available for uniforms from that date.
Is the SSB only able to be used for each individual sibling?
No. The SSB is allocated to the family and can be used for any student in the immediate family.
