What's on in Grade 3/4

Growing and Learning in the Garden

Our students have been enthusiastically diving into our garden sessions, embracing the opportunity to connect with nature and take on important responsibilities. From watering plants and planting seedlings to weeding and caring for our beloved chickens, every task has been met with excitement and dedication.

A huge thank you to our wonderful parent helpers, whose support has made these sessions even more productive. Their assistance allows students to fully engage in hands-on learning while developing valuable skills in teamwork, responsibility, and sustainability.

We look forward to watching our garden—and our students' knowledge—continue to

grow!

Cooking Up a Storm in the Kitchen

Our kitchen sessions have been an absolute treat! With the guidance of Julie and our fantastic parent helpers, students have been busy creating delicious dishes while developing essential cooking skills. So far, they have made a variety of delectable dips and the most scrumptious zucchini grissinis—perfect for dipping!

These sessions not only encourage teamwork and creativity but also foster an appreciation for fresh, homemade food. We can’t wait to see what tasty creations come next!

Exploring Data in Maths

In Maths, our students have been busy learning about data collection and how to present it visually using graphs. They put their skills into action by gathering data on the grades' birthdays and even designed their own personalized timetables.

It has been a fantastic way for students to see the real-world applications of data, and they are incredibly proud of their work. Be sure to check out their wonderful creations!

A huge congratulations to these students on their selection! We wish them all the best as they take on their leadership roles and represent their peers throughout the year.

Exploring the Joy of Reading in Our Classroom Libraries

Our students have been thoroughly enjoying their Classroom Libraries, eagerly diving into their favourite books. With each new story, they are developing a deeper love for reading and a strong connection to the characters and authors they admire.

It has been wonderful to see their enthusiasm as they discuss their favourite books, sharing insights about the stories, the characters that inspire them, and the authors who captivate their imaginations.

We look forward to seeing their reading journeys continue as they discover even more exciting books throughout the year!
