St Roch’s Social Justice: ‘Mini Vinnies’.
It was wonderful to join together last Friday to celebrate the beginning of our School Year as a community. We were excited to commission our Year 5 & 6 students as ‘St Rochs Mini Vinnies’ this year.
The students shared their commissioning pledge to the Parish and School as a sign of their commitment to ‘make a positive difference in our world’. We look forward to their social justice initiatives over the year!
Watch out for our Term 1 initiative coming soon!
St Roch’s Sacramental Program: Year 3 Family Information Night
Our first family faith night of the year introduced the Reconciliation Sacramental program for Year 3.
It was great to see our students and families joining together to discuss the concept of forgiveness and how important it is in family life.
Students also created special prayer bags containing a candle and prayers to take home.
Many thanks to Father Gallacher, Jess Mount, Angie Mastoras, Nadine Bolton and our Year 3 teachers Kate Ries and Emma Fay for their support of this important faith experience.
