Foundation NEWS

We are delighted with the rich and engaging learning taking place in Foundation this term. One of the students’ favourite routines is our structured writing strategy: Write it, Chin it, Park it, Bin it!

This routine is used across our Phonics/Fonologia, and Writing/Scrittura lessons to help students build confidence, accuracy, and independence in their early writing skills. It encourages students to rehearse their thinking, check their work carefully, and make thoughtful decisions about their writing.

We are incredibly proud of the wonderful sentences our Foundation students produced about Cara, a character from a book we recently explored together in Scrittura. Their efforts reflect not only growing literacy skills but also their enthusiasm for storytelling and learning.
