TIP
If your child is turning 18 soon and you would like to continue to support them with NDIS, you and they will need to complete paperwork to appoint you as a nominee.
If you are not listed as a nominee on your young person’s plan, the NDIS will not communicate with you once they are 18 years old. This can hold up various processes and create unnecessary delays.

UPDATE
In October, the NDIA released a new Operational Guideline (OGs) for the delivery of therapeutic supports under the NDIS. The Operational Guidelines are meant to give participants and providers the who, what, when and how rules of therapy support under the NDIS

NDIS NAVIGATOR AT CONCORD SCHOOL
NDIS Navigators are employed in all Victorian Government specialist schools.
NDIS Navigators are employed by the school and work at the school. They do not work for the NDIA or any NDIS funded agency.
Concord School’s NDIS Navigator is Daisy Grinter. Daisy can help you:
- navigate and understand the NDIS
- apply for and access NDIS funded supports for your child
- understand your child’s NDIS plan and how it can be used to meet their goals and understand how to prepare for activities like a plan reassessment or plan variation
- find out more about NDIS employment supports for your child
find out where to go for help or how to raise issues about your child’s plan or with a provider

The NDIS Navigator is available during term time. Daisy can meet with you in person, online or talk over the phone.
Conversations with the NDIS Navigator are private. NDIS Navigators will not share information with the NDIA or NDIS funded agencies unless you agree.
