So here we are — only 3 sleeps to go until our 2025 school year is done! It’s funny how a school year can feel like it flew by, while also feeling incredibly long.
I'd like to take a moment to thank some amazing people who have supported me throughout this year — and many years before — as I truly wouldn’t be able to do what I do without them.

Firstly, to Atika Tik and Rhoda Khaled, our Family Time Queens 👑— thank you both so much for giving Team Westbreen and our students so much of your time, energy, and creativity to make Family Time the huge success it has been. You are both amazing, and I can’t wait to do it all again with you in 2026!
A big shout-out also to Atika’s children, Eliot and Ilena, and Rhoda’s children, Ahmed, Tannah and Amira, for helping clean up after Family Time each week and for being so patient while waiting for their mums 😂💛

Thank you also to Miss Adria, who always pops in to visit, joins in the
activities, and helps whenever we need anything — whether it’s giant bubbles or acting as our photographer. Miss Adria, we would be lost without you!
Lastly, to our families — thank you so much for joining us for the fun and chaos each Wednesday afternoon. Family Time is such a special part of Team Westbreen, bringing our community together, building friendships, and sharing plenty of fun and laughter along the way. We can’t wait to do it all again in 2026.
I would like to say a big, heartfelt THANK YOU to the many volunteers who have supported Team Westbreen this year. Whether it was helping with our Disco, Bunnings BBQ, Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls, canteen, camps, classrooms, excursions, Hoop Time, Cross Country, Athletics, School Council, or the Parents and Friends Community Group — you have all contributed and made a positive difference in so many ways.
Visitors to our school often comment on how strongly they can feel our community spirit when they are here. How lucky are we to have that! I am incredibly proud to work at Team Westbreen and to be part of the magic that makes our school such a special place.
Another big and heartfelt THANK YOU goes to the many sponsors within our local community. We truly couldn’t do what we do at Team Westbreen without your generous financial support.
Special mention here to the team at TheirCare, ably lead by the amazing Angelic, who always assist Team Westbreen with financial support as well as always being a volunteer - you're the best 💞
Thank you hardly feels enough to express our appreciation for our superstar Miss Bridget, who works tirelessly in our school canteen and also caters for special events across Team Westbreen. THANK YOU, MISS BRIDGET, FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO!

And thank you to the many volunteers who help in the canteen whenever they can. Miss Bridget and Team Westbreen truly appreciate all our fabulous canteen volunteers for giving up their time to make our school canteen the much-loved service that it is.
2025 saw the return of our Westbreen Playgroup for the first time in many years. One of our Westbreen parents, Georgia Poletti Moulds, has been hoping to restart a Playgroup at our school for several years, and this year she finally made it happen.
Thank you, Georgia, for your time, passion, and commitment to bringing Playgroup back to Team Westbreen. You have warmly welcomed both our Westbreen community and visiting families, while providing engaging and fun activities throughout the year. A special mention also goes to Georgia’s sons, Raffy (Grade 3) and Roman (3 years old), for helping with set

-up each week.
Another special thank you to Rhoda Khaled and Maddy Symeoy for supporting Georgia and assisting with Playgroup activities throughout the year 💛
Farewell to our Grade 6 students who are leaving us after 7 years of primary school. Good luck at secondary school and don't forget to drop by and say hi to us whenever you can. Remember, once a member of Team Westbreen ALWAYS a member of Team Westbreen.
MERRY CHRISTMAS to our community that celebrate and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to you all. Stay safe, have fun and I look forward to seeing you all again in 2026.
With love & appreciation,
