Carols

Thank you to everyone who attended the Carols on Tuesday evening. It was another wonderful community event that truly highlighted the strength of our school community and the talents of our students and performing arts team. A personal highlight was our whole-school rendition of We Wish You a Merry Christmas in Indonesian — a joyful moment that brought everyone together.

A very big thank-you to all involved in making the night such a success, especially Mr King and Mrs Fell, CHAPs, and our dedicated BBQ crew for all their hard work in preparing for and delivering the event. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Farewells and Welcomes

At this time of the year, we begin to farewell staff who are moving on from Croydon Hills Primary School and welcome those who are joining our community in 2026.

We are wishing all the best to:

  • Kelly Fell, who is closing out her long association with Croydon Hills Primary School as a student and teacher. We wish you all the best Kelly as you begin your new life in the north and at Northside Christian College.
  • Sally Bentley, who has secured a position at Eastwood Primary School's Deaf Facility. Sally will be missed dearly, but we wish her well as she moves into an educational area of passion and a great professional opportunity. Thanks for your amazing contributions to Prep at Croydon Hills Primary School Sally!
  • Zoe Webster, who is transferring schools to be closer to home. Thank you Zoe for all you have achieved and done for our children. You have evolved our Indonesian program to be envy of any school community.
  • Kelly Theunissen, who is taking a year off teaching to travel Australia. Enjoy all that comes of the adventure Kelly! You're much loved by students and staff alike, we hope to have you back teaching with us in 2027!
  • Sian Jose is also taking a year's leave to support her family; however, we expect to see plenty of Sian as a relief teacher in 2026.
  • Jess Curcio, who has been working part-time with us this year whilst on leave from Ringwood Secondary College. Jess is returning to secondary school education, taking on a new role at Billanook. Thanks for a great year Jess.
  • Kelly Gommers who, mid-Term 1 2026, will break for the birth of her and Jason's first child.
  • Kristy Dixon, who will return to her base school, Mullum Primary School, prior to the birth of Leigh and Kristy's second child. Thank you Kristy for re-joining our school over the past two years whilst you managed part-time work and family. You have been an absolute asset to our community - I have no doubt we'll have you back in the future!
  • As well as Leigh's paternity leave, we will also have periods of absence from Josh Robertson and Jarrod Butcher, whose families are all beginning with the arrival of their first children. Congratulations El and Josh, and, Teagan and Jarrod!

Teachers Jayne Beith and Ebony Castles, who have been filling various short-term and part-time positions will be staying on in our school community as relief teachers and no doubt, filling more short-term and part-time vacancies.
