A Huge Thank You- Pizza & Performance Wrap-Up! 🎶🍕
What an afternoon! Our inaugural Pizza & Performance event last Friday after school was a resounding success — thanks to the incredible support, energy, and generosity of our amazing community.
It was such a joy to see so many families come along, enjoy delicious food, and cheer on the students as they took to the stage with enthusiasm, creativity, and talent. What a performance! A massive congratulations to all the kids who shared their skills and spirit — you were absolute stars.
One of the biggest reasons the event ran so smoothly was the fantastic level of community involvement. So many people stepped in to help at different points throughout the day — it never fell to just a small handful. Whether it was prepping dough, supervising the fire, cooking pizzas, running the pizza line, coordinating music, serving, packing up, or simply cheering everyone on — every contribution made a difference.
We’d love to give a huge shoutout to everyone who helped, including (but not limited to):
Erick Mitsak, David Cook, Dylan, Sasha, Niki, Linda F, Joel, David, Johanna, Imogen, Tomoko, Miranda, Elena, Monica, Kohana, Gerard and his son, Raf, Ned, Eugene, Linda R, Denis, Ann, Anne, Pippa, Heather, to the amazing OSHC Kids & Crew who came to support, and to everyone who jumped in with hands and hearts.
Special thanks to Heather for preparing 55 balls of dough!
And to Denis for expertly coordinating a brilliant afternoon of live music across all age groups — what a vibe.
It was our first time running this kind of event, and there were plenty of learning moments along the way — but the spirit, laughter, and teamwork made it a total winner.
We’re so excited to build on this for future events. Your feedback is always welcome, and your support is what makes these community moments so special. Well done everyone — and thank you again! Here’s to many more.

Winter Solstice Celebration – Coming Soon! Friday 20 June: from 3.30 PM
Mark your calendars — one of our favourite events of the year is nearly here!
Join us after school for a magical afternoon celebrating the winter solstice — a time to gather, slow down, and share warmth and light together. Expect cosy fires, warm drinks, and creative fun for the whole family.
Last year’s highlights included damper and marshmallows roasted over the fire, alcohol-free mulled wine, gourmet hot chocolates, student performances, lantern-making, and a special smoking ceremony led by a First Nations Elder.
We’re excited to bring it all back — a beautiful afternoon of connection, music, and winter vibes.
We’ll be calling out for helpers soon, both in the lead-up and on the day, so stay tuned if you’d like to lend a hand.
Stick around after school and soak up the glow — fires, lanterns, music, snacks, and joy. ✨
More details to come!
