As we approach the final weeks of Term 2, a number of important events and learning opportunities are scheduled across year levels. Please take note of the key dates below to help support your child’s preparation and participation.

Semester 1 Examinations (Year 9-12)

 

Semester 1 examinations will begin next week. The assessment period and subjects being examined differs between year levels. Please find a summary below.

Attendance:

  • Year 9 students are required to attend all exams. Between each of the exams, students have study periods, which they will complete in classrooms with the rest of their class. Year 9 students have a study-from-home day on Friday 6 June.
  • Year 10 and 11 students enrolled in the Academic Pathway are not required to be onsite unless they have an exam. Should students wish to remain onsite, they are required to be in the Library undertaking private study. 
  • Year 12 who study English are required to sit the practice exam on the morning at 8:50am on Thursday 5 June. Regular classes will resume for Year 12s at 11:30am. Students in the VM pathway will have their regular classes. All other Year 12s are required to complete private study in the Ref.

Unwell during exams?

Students missing exams for medical reasons must provide either a medical certificate or a statutory declaration to student services either via email or in person.

 

Uniform:

All students are required in full school uniform for their exams.

 

Special Provisions:

Students with special provisions have been notified by email.

  

Timetable:

Students have been provided with the exam timetable. It is essential students show up on time for exams.

 

Allowed Materials:

  • Students can bring a clear plastic water bottle (no label).
  • Pens, pencils and rulers in clear plastic pockets (no pencil cases).
  • Appropriate calculators (for maths exams, physics and chemistry)
  • Dictionary (English exam)
  • Summary book (maths exams)
