Biggest Morning Tea Week: A Wonderful Community Celebration!
What a fantastic week it’s been at our school as we came together to support The Cancer Council’s Biggest Morning Tea. Our students, staff, families, and friends have truly shown what a caring and connected community we are. From biscuit decorating to long-table morning teas, every class found a special way to mark the occasion while raising funds for an important cause close to so many hearts.
Today, our Prep students enjoyed a special morning tea picnic with their Grade 6 Buddies. Together, they decorated biscuits with yellow icing before sitting down to share a picnic outdoors. There were plenty of smiles, sticky fingers, and happy chatter as our youngest and oldest students spent precious time together, celebrating friendship and community spirit.
Yesterday, our energetic Years 3 and 4 students celebrated in their own classrooms with a delicious spread of food and a wonderful atmosphere. Not to be outdone, the Year 1 and 2 students combined their classroom tables to create the longest morning tea tables you’ve ever seen! A huge thank you to the incredible parent helpers who came in to assist with the setup and share in the fun — your support made the day extra special. The students proudly munched on their pre-made teacup biscuits and enjoyed every moment.
The week’s festivities were kicked off in style by our Year 5 students on Tuesday morning, with tasty treats and plenty of cheerful conversation.
Thanks to the generosity of our school community, our online donations have reached an amazing $1,594 — more than triple the Junior School Council’s original goal of $500!
But that’s not all — the cash donations collected throughout the week reached a grand total of $432.80! Bringing our overall total to…$2026.80
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported this wonderful event; your kindness and generosity truly make a difference.

School Uniform Reminder
We would like to take a moment to remind all families about the importance of students wearing the correct school uniform each day. Lately, we’ve noticed a number of students arriving at school in black shorts, brightly coloured jumpers, and oversized jackets in place of their proper school attire. Our school uniform is a valued part of our identity — it helps foster a sense of belonging, community, and pride in our appearance.
As a reminder, our uniform includes the school polo shirt (available in long or short sleeve), the sports top, navy blue shorts or pants, and the school jumper. Coats or puffer jackets are certainly encouraged for chilly mornings and recess breaks outside but should be removed once students are inside the classroom. Plain, navy blue jumpers without any images or logos are acceptable as an alternative to the school jumper.
We’d also like to remind families that Grade 6 jumpers and polos from previous years should not be passed down for younger siblings to wear at school. This is a special tradition reserved for our current Year 6 students, recognising their final year and leadership role within our school community.
Finally, please ensure that all clothing items are clearly labelled with your child’s name. We’re lucky to have wonderful parent helpers who regularly check our Lost Property box (located outside the Intervention Room) and having items labelled makes it much easier for them to be returned. Thank you for your support in helping maintain our school’s uniform standards and school spirit.
If your child requires an alternative clothing option for any reason, please speak directly with your child’s teacher.
Please check the "From the Office" page for more information regarding correct uniform and where to purchase items from.
