Performing Arts - Term 2

It’s fantastic to have the privilege of teaching and sharing music with all the students at Middle Park.

In Performing Arts across all age levels we have been learning tongue twisters and speech exercises as well as learning and singing lots of new songs like “Inanay”, “The Hole in the bottom of the Sea” and “Let’s Dance” by David Bowie.

Samples of our Tongue Twisters:

Betty Botter bought some butter

But she said my butter’s bitter…

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood…

Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack jump over the candlestick…

As you are all well aware, the whole school has just embarked on learning the recorder.  I am blown away by the enthusiasm & interest.  The goal is to learn some music theory, share performances at assemblies and have fun along the way!
