At the beginning of Term 2, 4D have been exploring 3D Objects and their nets.
We began by exploring different, common 3D objects and identifying their features including the shape and number of faces, edges and vertices. Learners explored how different 2D shapes are arranged together to create a net that can be folded into a 3D object.
The class engaged in creating their own 3D objects from scratch using grid paper to draw the net, then cutting it out, folding it and gluing them together.
