Year 12 Mother's Day Breakfast
Laughter, love and a beautiful sense of community filled the Year 11/12 Common Room on 14 May as we welcomed our Year 12 students and their special guests to our annual Year 12 Mother's Day Breakfast. This much-loved event provides an opportunity to honour and thank the women who do so much for our students and community throughout the year.
The morning commenced at 7.30am with an Acknowledgement of Country and a heartfelt prayer, followed by a fun mother-daughter quiz, before attendees tucked into a lovely buffet-style breakfast with all the trimmings, catered by the team at Murphy's Café.
The centrepiece of the event was our silent auction fundraiser, where generous bids helped us raise over $2,500 for Tassie Mums, our Prefect's charity for 2025.
An enormous thank you to our amazing sponsors (including our parents) who donated and supported this worthy cause, and everyone who got behind our auction. Your extraordinary efforts made our breakfast all the more memorable and impactful.
Finally, thank you to all the mothers and mother figures who are a constant source of love, strength, and wisdom – you truly make our world go round!

Pillars: Career pathways in action
As part of their recent Pillars lessons, Year 9 students had the opportunity to engage with guest speakers from the Australian Defence Force Academy, who shared valuable insights into the wide range of career opportunities available within the military.
At the same time, Year 11 and 12 students took part in an engaging session led by representatives from the Tasmania Fire Service.
The presentation offered a firsthand look at real-world career pathways in emergency services and community safety – and sparked plenty of lively discussion among students, especially when the fire gear came out and students had the chance to try it on (well done to Gracie (Year 11) for stepping up to the plate!).
