Honouring the Legacy of Dr Lowitja O'Donoghue

A powerful new exhibition celebrating the life and leadership of the late Dr Lowitja O'Donoghue AC CBE DSG officially launches tonight and will be opened by Her Excellency, The Hon Frances Adamson AC, Governor of South Australia, followed by The Hon Peter Malinauskas, Premier of South Australia.

This exhibition holds special meaning for our school community. Dr O’Donoghue was the youngest sister of Amy Levai, South Australia’s first Aboriginal teacher, and paternal grandmother of a member in our parent community.

A proud Yankunytjatjara woman, Dr O’Donoghue was the first Aboriginal person allowed to train as a nurse in South Australia and became one of the nation’s most respected Aboriginal leaders.

Coffee and Connect

So.... Winter has arrived. How are you and your family going?

Bring your stories and share them with others...

Join us for a warm coffee (short or long... that goes with both your time or coffee preference!)

If you’ve never been before, or you are a regular, we’d love for you to join us for Coffee and Connect in the church café on Friday mornings from 8:30am. (Just come through the courtyard.) This is a great opportunity to meet people in our community and make new friends! It can be comforting and encouraging to hear each other’s stories.

Toddlers are welcome! (We have a small playground. You just need to keep an eye on your little one(s) for safety reasons.)

I look forward to seeing you soon!

Blessings,

Georgie
