With Year 12s being close to halfway through their final year of study, the focus this term has been on catching up individually with Year 12 students for a check-in. The purpose has been to look over their academic and Vocational Education and Training (VET) progress and support them with short and longer-term goal setting to aid them in achieving to the best of their ability while here at the College. Students are also supported to explore options for post-school employment or further study and staff are always willing to assist students with applications and resumes if they find a career they are interested in pursuing.

Country Week

Country week is fast approaching and planning is seriously underway, with coaches in place and teams training weekly in preparation for Week 10. Students have been given information about uniforms (order due May 26), activities and accommodation with formal permission notes to follow once costing has been finalised. Country Week is a great chance to make memories, play sports with your friends and have an amazing time while representing the College. As such, each student is asked to read the attached document outlining College expectations and return a signed copy to the front office by Thursday May 29. Hard copies will also be available at admin.

In week 6 we have a Scratch Match afternoon planned with WACOA Narrogin to allow students at both Colleges to engage in practice games prior to Country Week. This event will take place in Corrigin, with games for most teams followed by a combined BBQ lunch before we head home. Permission notes outlining all the specific details will be sent home this week. Please don't hesitate to contact Mr Lee or Miss Sjollema if you have any Country Week queries.
