School Saving Bonus

We have regularly shared with you information about the School Saving Bonus, the $400 provided by the State Government for every eligible child enrolled in a Victorian Government school at the start of this school year.
The following information for families is provided:
- Information for parents/carers.
- Video – refer to this video for guidance about the School Saving Bonus and how to access and allocate it. The Department of Education have advised that this video would be updated to include subtitles in other languages.

- School Saving Bonus online system (portal).
For EHPS students, until Monday 30 June, parents/carers can choose from:
- In-store purchase – uniform from our uniform supplier, Spartan School World. Must spend allocated funds by 30 June.
- Online Purchase – uniform from State Schools Relief. Must spend allocated funds by 30 June.
- School Activities – activities or events that are a compulsory part of the curriculum for our students, such as excursions / incursions (all year levels), camp (students in Year 3/4, 5 and 6), sporting activities (e.g. Year 6 Inter-School Sport), Swimming program (all year levels).
SSB cannot be used for the annual parent payment, or optional programs such as our Instrumental Music Program, canteen lunch orders, or after school/lunchtime activities.
Access to the School Saving Bonus online system will close at 11.59pm on Monday 30 June 2025. Online supplier vouchers will also expire at this time.
All remaining funds, including online voucher amounts that have not been redeemed, will become a credit to use on school activities from early August 2025.
To use the School Saving Bonus for school activities before late July 2025, parents/carers must have allocated the funds in the online system (portal) by 11.59pm on Monday 30 June 2025.
Families who do not want to use the School Saving Bonus provided for their child/children can elect to provide this money to the school for use for other students:
- Schools can allocate funds to be used to assist other students at the school within the scope of the School Saving Bonus (that is, school-incurred costs for camps, sports and excursions).
- Funds cannot be used for costs outside of the scope of the School Saving Bonus (such as, voluntary parent payments, Instrumental Music Program, or after school/lunchtime programs).
- Schools are required to retain records of the parent request to reallocate funding.
