Mission Trip

Year 10 Mission Trip – A Life-Changing Journey

This semester, our Year 10 students had the incredible opportunity to take part in a mission trip to Townsville, followed by outreach in Yarrabah and Palm Island. It was a transformative experience filled with service, spiritual growth, and lasting impact.

Yarrabah: Acts of Love in Action

In Yarrabah, the team embraced local culture, serving at a Mother’s Day lunch that turned into a joyful celebration of dancing and connection. They also cleaned and restored the local football field—an important community space—living out the love of Christ through action.

Palm Island: Encouragement and Connection

The Palm Island team focused on building relationships with youth at the local school, encouraging engagement and offering positive role models. At the Palm Island Festival, students supported community activities and were warmly welcomed with special shirts of appreciation.

PCYC Outreach: Faith Through Fun

Both teams spent time at their local PCYC (Police-Citizens Youth Club), engaging with children through games, bracelet making, and creative activities. These fun interactions opened the door to meaningful conversations and authentic expressions of faith.

Spiritual & Personal Growth

The mission trip made a deep impact. Spiritually, students grew in their relationship with God, learned to rely on prayer, and developed a stronger understanding of their faith. Practically, they built skills in teamwork, leadership, communication, and resilience.

Back at school, we’ve seen many step up to lead in chapel through worship, preaching, and prayer. One student, Kitione Radrodro, recently shared a moving message on the power of prayer, inspired by his experience on the trip.

A Heartfelt Thank You

We extend our sincere thanks to the dedicated staff who led the teams, sacrificing time with their own families to support and champion our students. Your faith and leadership made this journey possible.

This mission trip has been a defining experience—shaping our students’ character, deepening their spiritual foundation, and giving them a renewed sense of purpose. We are proud of their courage, compassion, and commitment, and excited for how God will continue to use them in the future.
