A Joyful Semester of Chapel at Christway College
We have had a wonderful first 2025 semester with numerous chapel services, it’s with grateful hearts and smiles on our faces we welcome your children each morning to these special times at chapel.
As a Christian school we value our student’s holistic growth, from Academic to spiritual growth. It is a beautiful time we get to share with them during chapels giving us the opportunity to share and teach about Jesus as well as encourage them with their day ahead. Some presentations which occur in our chapels include the students and chaplains interacting through games, prayer time, praise and worship. There are teaching moments and opportunities also for different classes and students in those classes to run chapel on selected days. Families are welcome to be part of chapel any time as we would love to continue to build a strong relationship with not only your children but also with the parents and family members.
The Christian faith has given so much to many of us, whether it’s a purpose, a hope, experiencing the presence of God, having the opportunity to have a relationship with God and much more. It’s beautiful to share the teachings of the Bible with the students, encouraging them to keep steadfast and to explore their faith journey with a sense of adventure and curiosity.
Chapel Themes for Semester 1:
Term 1: Discovering Who God Is / People Who Discovered JesusStudents explored how God can be found in creation and in the lives of people who encountered Jesus—such as Thomas, who doubted, and others who received miracles and blessings.
Term 2: Discovering God through Jesus’ Parables / People Who Discovered GodThis term focused on the parables of Jesus and featured Bible characters such as Ruth, Joshua, and Abraham—learning from their lives and their relationships with God.
We have seen the students step out and show courage with participation, seeing their faith grow and seeing stronger relationships develop with God as there are also weekly prayer clubs which is available for students to attend should they desire to.
Our College also offers students the opportunity to engage in one-on-one faith growth time with our chaplains. This is completely voluntary and available to students of all year levels who desire it. These moments have led to some truly meaningful conversations and thoughtful questions, reflecting the growing hearts and minds of our students.
At Christway College, we are committed to supporting every student throughout their school journey—academically, emotionally, and spiritually. It is our heartfelt desire that each child comes to understand their God-given purpose and learns how to walk in that purpose in their daily life. Every student is unique, deeply valued, and unconditionally loved by God.
Families are always welcome to join our chapel services. Primary chapels are held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, while secondary chapel takes place during Period 4 on Thursdays. Please feel free to drop in—we love seeing our Christway community actively involved in school life.
