Homework

Most weeks, Year 3/4  homework will consist of 4 components:

1. Spelling – A minimum of  3 spelling activities must be completed every week.

2. Mathematics - Activities will be related to units of work being studied. The children will complete activities, reinforcing the particular mathematical skills, as well as the language used for those skills.

3. Reading – All children are required to read 5 nights a week for at least 15 - 20  minutes. 

This must be recorded in their diary with the book title and the page numbers read example:

‘13 Story Treehouse’ pgs 1-25. ‘ 

‘13 Story Treehouse’: pgs 26-50’

Children must bring their diary to school every day to be checked and signed by an adult. At different times throughout the year, the children will be given a project to complete over a 2-3 week period. At this time, there will be changes to the homework format.

We will continue our regular check-in with you about your child's learning as requested by you from our Student Led Conferences. Please let us know if anything has changed.

Specialist times for Semester Two weekly:

Wednesdays

3/4D- STEM, ART, PE

3A- ART, PE, STEM

The library will be on Fridays for both classes 

LOTE AND PERFORMING ARTS 

These specialist classes will alternate every fortnight on Tuesdays and Thursdays

PRODUCTION

Students will have a STOMP lesson each week from Weeks 5-8. This will be to teach each class their performative dance for our school concert.

Production - Dress Rehersal at St Louis de Montforts (daytime) 7:00pm Production at St Louis de Montforts - Thursday 18th September 

School Closure Day/School Holidays Begin- Friday 18th September
