From the Wellbeing Team!

Term 3 is a big one for wellbeing!

We have started our Art Mural Program! Our Art Therapist Fathiah is collaborating with students to create a mural that we can enjoy in the wellbeing space. We run this program after school on Tuesdays! If you are interested, please reach out to Ash.

We are finishing up our Young Women’s Leadership Program this term. The girls have had 10 sessions to bond, connect and grow and it has been amazing to see them flourish. This term, we also are beginning to roll out the Tri-Tactics Program. Encouraging a group of students to make positive choices and learn mental health self-defence.

Wear it Purple Day is on the 29th of August. It is the perfect time to show your support for the LGBTQIA+ Community. We will be celebrating during week 6 to come together and support out LGBTQIA+ students. There will be Karaoke, crafts and more to come!

RUOK Day follows shortly after, and it is a reminder to check in with your friends as it could save a life. We will be sharing more with you about RUOK Day as it comes up.

A message from the Student Wellbeing Coordinator

We have a new therapy dog, Kena. Kena belongs to Ms Collins and is here, along with Daisy to keep you comfortable and regulated. Therapy dogs are trained to keep calm and help support our students. When you see them, a friendly reminder to keep calm as we don’t want to scare them.

In the cooler weather -

Stay Active: As cold as it is, getting outside can-do wonders for your physical and mental health. GO for a walk, grab a hot drink, and keep moving!

Connect: In the colder months, it is easy to stay indoors and bundle up. Spending time with people can help us feel more connected.
