Today, on Australian Primary Principals’ Day 2025, I want to take a moment to shine a well-deserved spotlight on Mr Jones and the incredible work he does as a school leader. His vision and purpose not only guide the operations of our school but also nurture the wellbeing of both students and staff, making a significant impact on our community.

In every classroom conversation, staff meeting, and playground interaction, his influence is profoundly felt. He sets the tone for a culture of care, resilience, and inclusion within our school. On behalf of the school community, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for his tireless efforts, particularly in championing the wellbeing of our students. Thank you, Mr Jones, for all that you do.

The Northern Sydney School Years team is partnering with Wayahead to offer a free Transition to School webinar designed to assist parents and carers for a smooth and successful start to school. This informative session will focus on understanding and managing childhood anxiety, with practical strategies to support your child through this important milestone.

Topics include:

• Understanding separation anxiety
• Recognising and breaking the cycle of anxiety
• Practical strategies to manage anxious feelings
• The “Small Steps” approach – helping young children tackle their worries step by step.

To suit different schedules, we’re offering two webinar times.
