What's happening in the classrooms this fortnight?

Literacy: Throughout this term we are going to be exploring the text 'Iron Man' by Ted Hughes. This text will help us explore a number of different aspects within Literacy. The students will get to borrow their own copy and have designed a bookmark and a folded craft!

Numeracy: Telling time can be really challenging! This fortnight we have re-started our unit on telling time and we are currently focusing on telling time in 5 minute and 1 minute intervals. The students have been practising telling time 'past' and 'to'. This concept can take a bit of time to grasp. We have attached some links to some fun time games to assist with this concept. Please check them out!

Inquiry:  This term, we are dabbling in some science again! However, we will be looking at the concepts of states of matter, specifically 'Solids & Liquids'. The students will learn about what properties each matter has and how we can identify them!

Wellbeing: This fortnight we have focused on updating our 'Ready to Learn' plans, updating them and creating some strategy cards to remind us what we can do if we're not ready to learn.

This term our Respectful Rights and Relationships topic is called 'Personal and Cultural Strengths'. This will discuss and explore how we can use our strengths to develop respect for one another, no matter their background!

Library relaxation!

One our favourite times of the week is visiting the library! Our times to visit the library has changed. Grade 3A and 3B will attend Library on a Tuesday. 3C will attend library on a Thursday.
