P.E Report

Interschool Sport Report

This term has started with a bang, with both our Athletics Team competing at the SSV carnival day and our Year 6's netball team competing at the Victoria All Schools Netball Championships.

Both of these were successful, with all students putting out their best effort for the school and making us all proud.

AVDSSV Athletics Report

Friday 1st August

Our athletics team all competed to their best, but there were some standout performances, with many of our students qualifying for the next round of competition.

I would like to give a particular shout out to Hudson Ciantar, who front ran the whole way  and won the 10 year old boys 800m in his debut in the event. 7yh

It was also great that only one member of our team fell over on the hurdles. It was even better that it was not any of the students. The Year 6s were quite entertained to see me topple over in my failed attempt to run up the track.

Look out for event details in the next week or two.

Well done everybody!

Victorian All Schools Netball Championships

Monday 4th August

Our Year 6 mixed netball team competed in their qualifying round at the State Netball & Hockey Centre.

The team competed admirably and maintained a competitive focus that ensured they won every match. Quite convincingly I might add.

We congratulate the Year 6s and look forward to them competing in the finals in early September.

Thankyou

I would just like to give a shout out to everybody that has made me feel welcome at St Mary's Ascot Vale since I started this term. I have loved it here so far, and many have made me feel so welcome already.

I know I have big shoes to fill, and I am excited to get to know all parents and students as I progress through the term.

Thanks,
