Smoking on and around school grounds

Yesterday, I received this letter from Alicia M in 6P.  Alicia's letter to the school community very articulately spells out the rules about smoking around schools.

World Scout Day

Each year on August 1, millions of young people around the world celebrate World Scout Day! As the world’s largest youth organisation, Scouting supports over 57 million young people in more than 170 countries, including tens of thousands here in Victoria. It equips youth with practical skills, leadership, resilience, and a strong sense of community, all while having fun and making a positive impact.

Ivanhoe Primary School currently has 24 students who are active members of Scouts Victoria.

Alongside their school education, Scouting provides a vital outlet for young people to explore who they are, challenge themselves, and build meaningful friendships. It complements the curriculum by supporting social, emotional, and personal development in a hands-on, inclusive environment.

To celebrate World Scout Day on August 1st, students who are members of Scouts Victoria will  be allowed to wear their scarf to school.
