Dear Parents and Carers,
The week before Advent is known as the Week of Christ the King, following the Solemnity of Christ the King, celebrated on the last Sunday of the Church year. This feast honors Christ's authority as King of the universe and ends the liturgical calendar.
It is a time for Catholics to reflect on Christ's eternal reign and prepare for Advent, the start of a new Church year. This week encourages a deeper focus on Christ as the center of life before the season of hope and anticipation for His birth and return.
The Advent season will begin next Sunday December 1st in the Catholic Church. Advent is a time of waiting, a time to prepare to celebrate the coming of Jesus celebrated at Christmas. It is a time also to consider what the presence of Jesus, the Christ, means to us today. Advent encompasses the four Sundays and weekdays leading up to the celebration of Christmas and it is a time of preparation for our hearts and minds for the anniversary of the Lord's birth on Christmas.
The next two seasons of the liturgical year are:

As you know, we had to make the difficult decision to cancel our much anticipated Sports Day last week due to the weather. Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to reschedule at the Coburg Athletics Track due to the limited availability of dates so close to the end of the year and our busy schedules.
However, Mr. Jennings has planned modified Sports Days for this week, which will culminate in an exciting Teachers vs. Students volleyball game on Friday! We are already planning to book the venue for next year and are hopeful that the event will go ahead as planned.
If you’re able to come along and cheer during the activities this week, please feel free to do so. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to an enjoyable week of sport and fun!
Thank you to the parents who have settled their fees since last week's notice in the newsletter. We still have a few outstanding school fees that are required by the end of this week. Timely payment helps us maintain a safe and well-resourced environment for all students.
For parents whose youngest or only child is completing primary school this year, we kindly ask that all fees be fully paid by the end of this week.
If you have any questions regarding your balance or payment options, please contact the school office. The office is open from 8:30 to 4:00 pm each day if you would like to pay in person.
If you prefer to pay by direct debit, please use the bank details below. If any families need to discuss alternative arrangements for the payment of fees, please contact me directly.
