Week 5 Greetings
Can you believe it? We are nearly halfway through the term already! It has been an exciting and busy few weeks filled with special events and learning opportunities for everyone. I’m so proud of how our students have been engaging with all that’s on offer.
今学期も折り返し地点まであと少しとなりました。これまでの数週間にすでに楽しいイベントがたくさんあり、生徒たちは教室内での学習も楽しんでいます。今年度の残りの時間をみんなで有意義に過ごしていきたいですね。
Maths Club Special Activity Day
A big shout-out to our Maths Club students who had the exciting opportunity to attend a special Maths Activity Day at Huntingdale Primary School. It was a wonderful chance for our students to collaborate with their peers, solve challenging puzzles, and dive deeper into the world of mathematics. We’re so proud of the enthusiasm and teamwork our Maths Club members showed during the day!
今週木曜日に、算数クラブの子どもたちはハンティングデール小学校にいき、特別なアクティビティをしてきました。協力し合いながら問題を解決したり、算数の世界にひたってきました。算数クラブの子どもたち、とてもよくがんばりました。

Year 5/6 Japan Trip – Excitement Builds!
Next week, our Year 5/6 students will embark on an unforgettable journey to Japan! From 11 November to 22 November, we will explore the rich culture, history, and traditions of Japan, all while making memories that will last a lifetime. Most importantly, this trip will provide these students opportunities to try out their brilliant language skill which they have practiced for nearly 6-7 years! The students are eagerly preparing for their departure, and we can’t wait to share all our adventures when we return.
１１月１１日から２２日までの間、５・６年生の２０人の生徒と共に日本へ行って参ります。日本の文化や歴史のみならず、コーフィールド小学校で培った日本語のスキルを試す絶好のチャンスをみんな楽しみにしています。帰ってきてから生徒たちの体験をシェアすることを楽しみにしています。
Intra-school transition sessions
This year, we scheduled in some intra-school transition sessions for our existing students. These opportunities allowed our students to become familiar with their learning spaces for next year and get to know a little bit about their peers in 2025. Our current Prep and Year 1 students enjoyed reading and games together in the Y1/2 classrooms whilst our Year 2 and 3 students were led by Miss Molloy outside and enjoyed a variety of games in their houses. Year 4 & 5 students also headed outside to participate in sports together. On top of these activities, we had the whole school picnic lunch today where they sat with their 2025 cohort. We will have another whole school picnic lunch next week. We will also have ‘meet the teacher day’ just as other years!
今学期に３回ほど来年の学年の生徒たちになれるためのトランジッションを行いました。プレップと１年生の生徒、２年生と３年生の生徒、４年生と５年生の生徒たちは様々なアクティビティを一緒に楽しみました。また、今日は全校生徒でピクニックランチを楽しみました。例年通り、新しい先生の教室に行く機会も学期末に設けられております。
