COHR Feast Day
Next Friday 22nd, we will celebrate our School and Parish Feast Day. Although there is no feast called Christ Our Holy Redeemer or even Holy Redeemer, we link our Feast Day to the last Sunday of the liturgical year - the feast of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe! A mighty title for a mighty school!
The crown on our school symbol of Christ with his welcoming and opening arms affirms the role of Jesus as a King. Not a king who rules with fear or rules for just a lifetime. Jesus is a king for all of eternity, ruling with love. Although Jesus came to Earth as a humble servant, he is the King of kings. His kingdom will never come to an end.
As a school we will celebrate with Mass at 10:15 am in the Church, a special chalk drawing activity in the car park, a free Zooper Dooper after lunch, our COHR's Got Talent Show (2pm) and finally our COHR Movie Night! Parents are most welcome to come and join us for Mass and the Talent Show.
Our Mini Vinnies Team will take this day as an opportunity to launch their Christmas Appeal. There will be more information following.
The Movie Night is a free event with hotdogs, popcorn and snow cones for sale. We do ask for a donation on entering to support the Mini Vinnies Christmas Appeal.
