Principal's Message
St Luke's... "nurturing faith filled, curious children to become creative contributors and innovative problem solvers for a changing world."
Dear Parents and Carers,
The joy of welcoming our newest learners to Kindergarten is a highlight of the school year at St Luke’s Catholic College. Orientation week is a time filled with wonder and excitement as children take their first steps into our vibrant learning community. For these young students, this is just the beginning of a journey that will see them grow into creative contributors and innovative problem solvers, ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities of a changing world.
As we welcome these eager young minds, it’s impossible not to think about the incredible potential they hold. Today, they are curious explorers, learning to navigate their world with wide-eyed enthusiasm. Fast forward 13 years, and these same children will be standing on the threshold of their futures, graduating Year 12 as confident, capable individuals. They will be equipped not only with academic knowledge but also with the social and enterprise skills to succeed in whatever path they choose—whether that be university, vocational education, or stepping straight into meaningful work and traineeships.
At St Luke’s, we are privileged to walk alongside our students on this journey from Kindergarten to Year 12. As a K-12 school, we have the unique opportunity to nurture and witness their growth every step of the way, shaping their development as faith-filled individuals who understand their purpose, their impact, and their direction. Our innovative approach to learning, grounded in our 6 Pillars of Learning, ensures that every child develops the curiosity, creativity, and resilience needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
During Kindergarten Orientation, we see the spark of potential in every child—the beginnings of the leaders, problem solvers, and contributors they will become. Together with you, their families, we aim to nurture this spark into a flame, guiding each child to discover their gifts, embrace challenges, and find joy in learning.
We invite you to imagine these children, now dressed in their tiny uniforms, as the graduates of the future—celebrating their achievements, confident in their identities, and ready to make their mark in the world. It is both a joy and a responsibility to be part of this transformation, and we are honoured to walk this journey with you.
Let us celebrate the beginning of this incredible adventure and look forward to the bright futures of our Kindergarten students as they take their place in the St Luke’s story.
Warm regards,
Kelly Bauer
