From the Principal Class

Dear Viewbank Community,

As we move toward the last four weeks of the term, nothing has slowed down!

We have worked our way through VCE exams, Year 11 and 10 exams and will soon have our Year 9 students undertake their exams.

Next week is Orientation week for our VCE students of 2025.

All great preparation for their final year of schooling, but also for life.

Whilst we provide for students with compassionate needs, it is important to remind your students that a little stress or anxiety is a normal part of life and our personal growth.

We learn the most from being in a state of discomfort, and exams provide that learning.

Other fabulous events happening include our Art and Tech show, the student produced and directed film “Rear Mirror”, Middle School Production and our Holocaust Parent Night. Please book in for one or all of these and support the amazing work of our staff and students.

Our German Study tour starts today, and we look forward to sharing lots of moments on Instagram. We wish Jaclyn Curnow, Ross Purcell and the students happy travels!

Finally, we have had a lot of sporting participation and success at State Level this term. Read more in the sport report, but this is an incredible achievement, and I want to congratulate all students who have participated in our sporting program this year.

During the Year 7 & 8 end of year program, our Phys Ed department will be running a Walkathon around the school’s walking track.

We are asking family and friends to sponsor their student per lap and aim to raise money for new basketball backboards and rings.

More information about this to come!
