Library Chronicles – Term 3, 2025.

Term three in the library has been a lot of fun! With plenty of new titles and a revised activity schedule, lots of reading and learning has been happening here, as you will see from our photo collage. This term we hosted activities for RUOK? Day, Wear it Purple, Pride Club and lantern making for the Laneway Festival, focused on Indigenous Literacy and Women’s Health Weeks, ran a range of crafting and art activities, featured award winning books, and continued to support our students on their learning journey.

Coming up in Term 4 is our Spring Reading Challenge. Students read five books over Spring. For each book, they write a brief review and get to choose a prize from our lucky dip. Once a student has read five books, they go into the draw for one of our wonderful grand prizes. Please encourage your young person to get involved in this challenge, it is a fantastic opportunity to read, write and be rewarded for sharing a review and recommendation.

We will be hosting a range of events and cultural observances throughout Term 4, including AI Neuronext workshops, and will continue our regular activities – Maker Monday, Book Club, Lego Masters and Chess and Board Games – as well as adding new and interesting projects.

Remember, if you have suggestions to make the space better in any way, please let us know, it is your library!

Enjoy the sunny October break!

Kindest,

Ms Summers, Ms Williams, and Spock (our Monday Library pup)
