Career & Pathway

This term Borinya students attended two career expo's, we are extremely fortunate to have both events locally, as it allows our students to explore and consider employment or career pathways that they didn’t know existed!

Hands on Trade Career Expo – Winton

Thursday August 15 students in Year 9,10, 11 & 12 attended the Hands on Trade Career Expo at Winton. Students participated in activities, conversation and career exploration with local business and industry, TAFE’s and Emergency services, plus loads more!

Local Government Career Expo – Rural City of Wangaratta

Last day of term we attended the Local Government Career Expo where the Rural City of Wangaratta show cased employment opportunities and career pathways available in local government.

Rural City of Wangaratta employees shared their employment roles, responsibilities and journeys with interested students and GOTAFE trainers were on hand to provide the educational pathway and qualifications required for these positions.

Kel Vincent – GOTAFE Youth Engagement Team

Kel visited Borinya to share what his role at GOTAFE involves, and his vast experience and knowledge in career guidance and how he can assist our students.

If your student would like to see Kel they can see Leanne to organise contact.
