Principal's Reflection
Eamonn Buckley
As Term 3 draws to a close, I am proud to reflect on the many achievements and experiences that have shaped our school community this term.
Our students have continued to experience successful learning growth, supported by the dedication of staff and the encouragement of families. This commitment to learning and growth has been recognised beyond our school, with Borinya being selected as part of a Knowledge Society – Classroom Mastery case study, highlighting the impact of our Borinya Ready Queue to Start.
We also welcomed guest speaker Kate Wilde, who worked with both students and staff to deepen our understanding of Respectful Relationships, an essential part of our Borinya WALK relating to inclusion. Beyond the classroom, our Years 9–12 students attended the Hands-on Trades Day at Winton Raceway, gaining valuable exposure to various career pathways.
This term also marked several memorable events: the inaugural Borinya school photos, our ski trip to Falls Creek, and the Lake Mungo immersion experience, each offering opportunities for growth, community, and connection.
I thank our students, staff, and families for their continued support and commitment to our Borinya Community. We look forward to building on this momentum as we move into Term Four.
