Resilience, Rights & Respectful Relationships:
Respectful Relationships
This week in 3/4 Mitchell, students explored the ideas of rights and responsibilities. Through group discussions and activities, they learned to identify the difference between the two and considered how both are important for building safe and respectful communities. Students reflected on their own rights—such as the right to learn, to be safe, and to be treated fairly—and discussed the responsibilities they share to help protect these rights for themselves and others.
Today our school came together for a fun and meaningful cause, holding a Pyjama Day organised by our SRC. Thanks to the generosity of our school community, we raised approximately $470 in support of the Royal Children's Hospital.
A big thank you to all our students, families, and staff for getting involved—whether by wearing your cosiest pyjamas, donating or both. Your support will make a real difference to families who need it most.
Dear friend
Thank you so much for supporting The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) Foundation.
It is thanks to donations like yours that the RCH can adapt and innovate in the way it cares for sick children.
From undertaking ground-breaking research, and purchasing cutting edge equipment, to investing in the world’s brightest medical minds, and delivering great patient care, your support is helping to change the future of children's healthcare.
Over 200 programs and initiatives at the hospital would not exist without your generosity, so on behalf of everyone at the RCH Foundation, thank you for making a difference to the staff, patients, and families at the RCH.
Warm regards,
Ryan BrownChief Executive Officer
Well done, everyone!
Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge
Take a bow, Spring Gully Primary School!
The challenge is now complete and we had an incredible fortnight to finish it off.
As a school, we read a total of 5,380 books! Thank you to everyone who joined in and contributed to this amazing result. It’s wonderful to see the enthusiasm for reading across our school community.
Students who completed the challenge will receive a certificate. These will be sent to the school, but are likely not to arrive until later in Term 4.
Thanks again and congratulations everyone!
