Congratulations to 3/4 Mitchell for winning our final Maths Challenge of Term 3!
We will be posting our next challenge in the first newsletter of Term 4.
It’s been another busy and engaging fortnight in Grade 5/6! The students have been working hard and embracing a wide variety of learning opportunities and experiences.
In Writing, we have completed our writing assessment, giving students the chance to showcase their creativity, structure, and storytelling skills.
We were also fortunate to have a special visit from Bendigo Health, who ran an important information session on the dangers of vaping. The students listened thoughtfully and asked some excellent questions, showing real maturity in approaching this topic.
In Maths, we have been exploring probability and division skills—tossing coins, rolling dice, and working through real-life examples to understand chance and how to share numbers equally.
It’s also been an exciting time in sport, with our girls’ team to competing in the State Hockey Finals today.
And don’t forget—this Friday we will be celebrating Footy Colours Day. Students are encouraged to come dressed in their favourite team colours to join in the fun and watch the teachers beat our Grade 6’s in the annual Teacher vs. Student footy match!!
Regards,
5/6 Team
