OSHC Weekly Newsletter – Week of 8th–12th September 2025
This week at OSHC has been full of colour, creativity, and outdoor fun as we continue to embrace the spring season and extend the excitement from Book Week!
Children really enjoyed creating their own personalised bookmarks, inspired by their favourite stories. After carefully colouring them in, we laminated each one so they could take them home and use them in their current reading adventures—what a lovely way to keep Book Week going just a little longer!
Art and craft were big hits again, with children exploring watercolour painting on A3 paper. The results were vibrant, expressive, and proudly displayed in our room. We also got into the spirit of the season by painting adorable spring lambs using white paint and dotting techniques—lots of fluffy textures and creativity all around!
Jewellery making was another popular activity this week. Children carefully threaded beads onto string to create unique bracelets and necklaces, choosing colours and patterns to make something special. This was not only fun but a great way to develop fine motor skills.
Our construction corner was busy as ever, with blocks being used to build everything from towers and bridges to imaginative little cities. The playdough table added another layer of creativity, with children shaping and moulding all sorts of fun creations during their free play time.
Outdoors, we made the most of the sunshine with active hula hoop games! From spinning challenges to hoop races, everyone had a go and got moving with big smiles and lots of laughter.
It’s been a fun-filled and engaging week, and we’re so proud of all the creativity, teamwork, and energy the children have brought to each activity. Thank you as always for your continued support—we can’t wait to see what next week brings!

Mon-Fri: 6.45am-8.45am
Permanent: $25 per day
Casual: $30 per day
After School Care hours
Mon-Fri: 3:15pm-6:15pm
Permanent: $31.70 per day
Casual: $36.70 per day
