Class Information
GRADE 1 & 2 UPDATE
Year 1
- In Literacy: learning about words with the /s/ using ‘c’ and the /g/ sound using ‘j’ and ‘dge’.
In Numeracy: learning how to quantify sets of objects to at least 120 by partitioning collections into equal groups using number knowledge and skip counting.
Year 2
- In Literacy: learning about the spelling rules consonant plus ‘le’ and suffix ‘es’. We will be focussing on the reading and comprehension strategy of monitoring and working on improving our grammar with speech marks. We will also be introduced to the storybook ‘The True Story of the Three Little Pigs’.
- In Numeracy: learning about how to apply our knowledge of two-dimensional shapes and three-dimensional objects to solve problems.
SCHOOL HATS
Please ensure that your child has their school hat at school each day and that is clearly labelled with their name on it. If they do not have their hat, they will need to eat and play in a shaded area during break times.
TERM 4 - WEEK 3
- St Liborius Breakfast Club - Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:15am-8:40am.
- Walk to School – Friday 24th October @ 7:45am from Canterbury Park.
- Grandparents and Special Friends Day Mass – Friday 24th October.
- SRC – Friday 24th October.
TERM 4 - WEEK 4
