GOSPEL REFLECTION
Say, ‘ We are merely servants’
Sundays Gospel (Luke 17:5-10) the apostles recognize their own weakness and ask Jesus, “Increase our faith!” They know that following Him and living out His teachings requires more than human effort—it requires the gift of faith. Jesus’ response is striking: “If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.” Faith, even in the smallest measure, can unleash God’s power in our lives. It is not about how much faith we have, but how deeply we trust in God and allow Him to work through us.
PRAYER
Loving God,
We ask, like the apostles, “Lord, increase our faith.”
Help us to trust You, even when our faith feels as small as a mustard seed.
Teach us to serve with humble hearts,
not seeking reward or recognition,
but offering our lives as a gift of love.
Strengthen us in our daily choices, so that our faith may grow and bear fruit
in kindness, forgiveness, and service to others.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
