From the Principal

Dear Parents / Guardians,
It’s hard to believe that we have already reached the final term of the year!
As we settle into Term 4, we ask for God’s loving blessing upon the community of Girton Grammar and all those affected by Friday’s tragic accident. May they find comfort, strength, and peace in the days ahead.
Next Friday, we look forward to celebrating Grandparents’ Day. We can’t wait to welcome all grandparents and special people to our community on this special occasion. Further details can be found later in this newsletter.
Re-enrolment information for 2026 will soon be circulated to families. We ask that this is completed and returned as soon as possible. We currently have a waiting list of families wishing to join our school, so please let us know if your circumstances have changed. Our fee structure for 2026 will also be included in this correspondence.
In line with current research regarding the use of technology in schools, CESL schools are reviewing ICT allocations. As part of this, schools are moving towards a more balanced approach to learning technologies. This change will be reflected in our updated fee structure.
We are also excited to share that new devices will once again be rolled out in 2026 to better support our students’ learning needs. During this time of transition, all student devices will remain at school for stocktake and preparation ahead of their return.
As the weather warms up, a reminder that our SunSquirt sunscreen kiosks are available for students to apply sunscreen during our designated SunSmart time. Students who prefer to use their own sunscreen are welcome to bring this from home. A reminder too that we have a “No Hat, No Play” policy — please ensure your child has a hat for school each day.
Our two-week uniform transition period concludes at the end of this week. From Week 3 onwards, all students are asked to wear their full summer uniform. We wear our uniform with pride, and it’s wonderful to see our students looking so smart and ready for the term ahead.
With many blessings,
Alannah Darmody
Principal
