Middle Sub School News

Amelia Frantz - Middle Sub School Leader
Hello families and carers,
Weeks 7 and 8 have flown by and we are now approaching the last week of Term 3. Music has been a highlight over the past couple of weeks with the inclusion of keyboards and microphones. Rehearsals for performance items have taken place in the Yaluk gym. It is really great to see students using the stage and building their confidence in front of others. Literacy has been another area of interest. Students have been busy working on phonics, spelling, reading and writing through programs such as love literacy, sequence stories, recounts and much more.
Thank you to everyone who returned their class preference forms for 2026. If you have any questions or wonderings about classes for 2026 please contact your classroom teacher or myself.
Important remaining dates for term three are:
- Middle sub-school performance on Tuesday 16 September @ 13:30 in the Yaluk Gym
- House Colours Day colour run on Thursday 18 September. Students may wear a white t shirt or their school t shirt.
Looking ahead for Term 4, we have a couple of incursions and an excursion planned. Individual classes may have additional excursions planned. Please look out for permission forms in the students communication books and return them ASAP. We encourage all students to wear hats and sunscreen in Term 4. Please let me know if we can further assist with this.
Have an enjoyable term break,
Amelia
ROOM 14
Learning Adventures!
We have been learning addition using a tens frame, double-digit addition with regrouping and playing the maths games Get on the Bus and Flip It!
During literacy we are creating our crazy animal flip books; regenerating during daily meditation; cooking cheesy garlic herb bread in kitchen; scratch art and patterns during art and having lots of fun with our friends!
We have loved our music and P.E. sessions, particularly piano and bowling.
Now are looking forward to a relaxing holiday break in readiness for an exciting Term 4!
