Welcome Back to Term Four!
We hope everyone had a restful and well-deserved break over the holidays. As we step into Term Four, there’s a real buzz of excitement around the school. We’re so happy to welcome our students back, refreshed, smiling, and ready for a term filled with learning, connection, and celebration.
Community Engagement Team: Movie Night Planning in Full Swing!
A big thank you to everyone who attended our Community Engagement Team meeting on Wednesday 8th of October. It was a fantastic turnout, with many parents and carers volunteering to help make our upcoming Movie Night a huge success!
During the meeting, we covered key topics like the volunteer register, donations, and event logistics. We’re thrilled to announce that this will be the first time our annual Movie Night is fully organised and run by the parents and carers of our amazing ENPS community. It’s shaping up to be a spectacular night, full of fun activities for all ages and a great family film under the stars.
Save the Date: Friday, 28th November and stay tuned to Compass announcements. More details will be shared in the coming weeks!
We are also now seeking donations for our Movie Night. If are you able to help out with any of the below items, please drop them off at the front office:
Lollies
Coloured hairspray
Blocks of chocolate
Cash donations
Bottles of water
Cans of drink
Small prizes for games (gender neutral)
Thank you for your support, we can't wait to make this exciting night happen with the support of our community!
Improving School Security: CCTV Installed Over the Holidays
We’re pleased to let you know that over the school holidays, CCTV cameras were installed around the school grounds. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to keeping ENPS safe, secure, and welcoming for all. The presence of CCTV acts as a strong deterrent to unwelcome visitors and helps ensure that our facilities and grounds remain protected after hours. Thank you for your continued support in keeping our school community safe.
Big Plans for ENPS: Advocating for Major Upgrades
On Friday 10th of October, we had the opportunity to meet with Danny Pearson MP and a representative from Minister for Education Ben Carroll’s office. This was an important moment for ENPS as we made our case for substantial capital works funding between $15-20 million!
Our proposal includes:
A complete refurbishment of the administration, office and first aid areas
The removal of current shipping containers
The demolition of the Performing and Visual Arts buildings
The construction of a state-of-the-art STEAM precinct (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics)
We’re passionate about creating modern, functional learning spaces that match the quality of our teaching and reflect the needs of our growing school community. We’ll keep you updated as things progress. Fingers crossed for a positive outcome!
Thank you, as always, for being such an engaged and supportive community.
It’s going to be a big, exciting Term Four!
Warm regards,
ENPS School Council
