In our Inquiry unit 'Healthy Heros', students have been exploring what it means to stay safe, strong and healthy in their everyday lives. Throughout the term, we have been learning about physical, emotional and social health, and how these areas are all connected.

Students have investigated important health and safety topics such as medicine safety, cyber safety, consent and personal boundaries, seeking help from trusted adults, and what to do in an emergency. We have focused on understanding why health information is important and how it helps us make safe choices.

Through discussions, scenarios and hands-on activities, students have been developing their ability to recognise safe and unsafe situations, practise protective behaviours, and identify who they can go to for help. They have also been learning how to communicate their ideas clearly and confidently.

To bring their learning together, students are now creating an information poster on a health topic of their choice. This allows them to apply their knowledge and share important messages about staying healthy and safe.
