Student Leadership Conference

In Week 7, 14 of our student leaders attended the annual Youth Leadership Academy Australia conference at the Melbourne Exhibition & Convention Centre. Students had the opportunity to meet other student leaders and to hear from various presenters about their journey into leadership and making a difference to their community. They learnt about different leadership styles, stepping out of one's comfort zone, and taking chances. Importantly, they learnt that in order to create change, we need to stop finding excuses and placing blame, and instead, take ownership of our actions so that we can have agency to bring about change.

Harmony Week Activities

This week has been a lot of fun for our students as we've celebrated Harmony Week. Secondary Years student leaders have organised various activities throughout the week, ranging from Arts activities, sporting activities, lunchtime concerts, and various activities during class time. Our Harmony parade on Friday is always a highlight for the year. The Primary Years students particularly enjoyed working with the Secondary Years Arts Leaders in creating harmony bracelets at lunchtime this week.
