Hello Everyone,

Call for Volunteers

Our breakfast Club program is seeking a volunteer to assist with the set-up, cooking of toast and clean-up. We would really appreciate someone who may be able to commit to Monday mornings, however, assistance on our other mornings would also be welcome (that’s Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).

Set-up begins at 8am, with students coming in at 8.30am until 8.45am, then it’s clean-up until 9am. If you would like to bring your child/ren along with you, that’s ok, as long as they are students at our school and remain with you in the breakfast club room until 8.45am.

If you have some time available, and are interested, please see Ms Scott as soon as possible for further information.

Water Safety over the holidays

We know many families head away during the school holidays to locations near water, including lakes, rivers and beaches.

To help families stay safe around water these school holidays, please share the following water safety resources with parents and carers:

Surf Life Saving Australia’s Beachsafe website where you can view a location and the closest patrolled beaches (available in 132 languages – click on the ‘Select language’ tab). This information is also available in an app which you can download from the Beachsafe website. The app includes videos with tips for visiting Australian beaches, in 8 languages: English, Arabic, Hindi, Korean, Japanese, Malay, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
Vic Emergency’s Get to know our warning signs website, including posters translated into Arabic, Dari, Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

Pride and Integrity Raffle

This raffle, to recognize all of the students who are attending school on time, will continue this year. This is to acknowledge the students demonstrating Pride and Integrity by being ready to learn each day.

Every student who is at school, and in their classroom, before the bell (9am) will have their name added to the class attendance box. So, if they are present every day of the week, on time, they will have 5 entries into the raffle.

Last week’s class winners were:

The raffle winner was Aniva from 2B! Congratulations!
